ANTI WRINKLE TREATMENTS

Everybody is different, for some clients the treatment will last from four to six months, in others may last for a shorter or longer period of time. 

Personal metabolism,  the speed at which your body breaks down and absorbs cells, will have an effect on how long the treatment lasts. 

Factors that affect metabolism include gender, genetics, the brand of Anti-Wrinkle Injectable used and your level of physical activity. 

You may experience some discomfort when receiving the injections, although this should only last for a short amount of time as each injection only takes a few seconds to adminster.  With Anti-Wrinkle treatments, topical anesthetics are rarely used due to the short duration of the treatments, although topical anaesthetics can be provided at your request.

Our medical professional has gained a wealth of experience in injection techniques whilst working both privately and with the NHS, through applying Intra-Venous medication, Cannulation, Vitamin injections and most recently administering the COVID vaccinations. 

14 days after the initial treatment, you have the option to book a review with us. During the review we will analyse the impact of the first treatment and discuss whether a top up is needed. A top up will incur a small fee to administer, although the price is purely to cover the equipment costs related to the top up.

Visible results can take up to 14 days to develop because it takes time for the nerve receptors, which control the muscle that is causing the wrinkle, to be blocked by the toxin.  

Typically, within 7 days of the first treatment, you may start to feel a loss of muscle movement around your chosen area.  For example, an inability to create a frown or an inability raise your eyebrows as high as you could pre treatment.

As with any procedure there are always risks, however, Anti-Wrinkle treatments have a record of being incredibly safe and have been used in the aesthetics field for over 20 years.

Common side effects may include: headaches, soreness at the site of treatment, bruising, inflammation / redness, and/or dry mouth.

We will always discuss post treatment care at the end of your appointment, regardless of whether you are a regular or first timer.

General post treatment includes: 

• No Rubbing of the area(s) treated.
• No Laying down for 4 hours after treatment.
• Avoid Vigorous exerise and alcohol for 24 hours.
• If any bruising appears, apply the topical cream which will be supplied.

By puncturing the skin, the cells are stimulated into regenerating these proteins, which create a more youthful and plump complexion.
